On Tuesday, the British School of Ulaanbaatar held its first whole school assembly of the academic year. As well as speeches by the Head Boy and Head Girl, a performance by the BSU Choir, students with positions of responsibility around the campus were recognized. Members of the Student Council and the Prefect team were acknowledged by the BSU community, plus House Captains for each of the respective four Houses were awarded badges and introduced to students and staff.
House Captains play a vital role in our school community by organising events, overseeing house point activities, welcoming new students, and being positive role models. But beyond that, they are at the core of our House System, an enduring tradition in British education, that aligns with BSU's values of commitment, confidence and compassion. At BSU, we believe in giving students the opportunity to develop essential leadership, organisation, and communication skills, preparing them to lead by example. For the 2024-25 academic year we are pleased to announce that Nomin Erdenebaatar, Emuujin Davaanyam, Anand Ganjaloo, Anar-Erdene Purevdavaa, Nandin Badar-Uugan, Agiimaa Enkhbaatar, Egshiglen Jargalan and Buyanninj Tamir will be House Captains.
All BSU students belong to one of our four houses - Andrew (Blue), David (Yellow), George (Red) and Patrick (Green) - adopted as the British and Irish patron saints.
